Meet our Director
Welcome to Manoa Dance School, a home for the celebration of Polynesian dance and music with a special focus on ‘Ori Tahiti. Founded and directed by Sisilia Tupou, our school was created to provide a space where everyone can connect with and appreciate the beauty of the Polynesian arts. We offer classes designed for all levels—whether you’re just beginning your journey or looking to grow as a performer.

'Ori Tahiti Classes

Beginner
Ages 5-11, 12-17, 18-25, 26+ (or placed by skill/height)

All new dancers, regardless of age or gender, will start in our beginner 'Ori Tahiti class. This foundational class introduces the basic movements, dance vocabulary, and cultural concepts of Tahitian dance in a supportive environment. Classes are held on Fridays for ages 5-11, 12-17, and 18-25, helping each student build confidence and a love for the art form.

Intermediate
*Must test out of beginner class
The Intermediate class is designed for dancers who have mastered the basics and are ready to refine their technique and deepen their understanding of Tahitian dance and culture. Held on Saturdays, this class pushes students to enhance their performance and musicality.

Advanced (Performance Team)
*Must test out of intermediate class
The Performance Team is our most advanced group, focused on polished technique, stage presence, and competition prep. Members are selected based on their skill and dedication, with Saturdays and other designated dates reserved for rehearsals and performances. This team is committed to excellence and representing 'ori Tahiti professionally.
